Randeep Grewal is the Chairman and Chief Executive of Greka Drilling Limited. He has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry and is the founder of the Greka Group of companies. Randeep acts as Chairman and CEO of the Greka Group and Grewal Family Office. From April 1997 to September 1997 he served as Chairman and CEO of Horizontal Ventures Inc., an oil and gas horizontal drilling technology company that became a subsidiary of Greka in September 1997. Randeep was Corporate Vice President for the Rada Group with the principal responsibility for its global expansion and diversification from its defence roots and operations into a commercial organisation. Since 1986 he has been involved in various joint ventures, acquisitions, mergers and reorganisations in the United States, Europe and the Far East across a range of businesses.
Mr Grewal has a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Northrop University.
Mr Zhang is President and Chief Operating Officer of Greka Drilling China in 2017. He joined Greka Drilling as General Manager, and Chief Operating Officer of Greka Technical Services in January 2008. Mr Zhang has over 40 years of experience in oil and gas engineering technical services. He joined the oil and gas industry in 1967 and has held a range of positions in several petroleum companies, including technician of an oil production team in Daqing Petroleum Administration Bureau, production coordinator of a plant in Jianghan Petroleum Administration Bureau and engineer of a drilling managing plant in Jinlin Petroleum Administration Bureau. From 1976 to 1995, he worked at Huabei Petroleum Administration Bureau, a drilling and engineering services subsidiary of CNPC, as an engineer and in various senior management positions. From 1995 to 1999, Mr Zhang was the General Manager of China National Oil Developing Company and was appointed as President of Huabei Petroleum Administration Bureau from 1999 to 2004. From January 2003 to January 2008, he was a member of the Standing Committee of Hebei Provincial People's Congress. Mr Zhang worked as an external consultant to Greka BV from July 2007 to January 2008. Mr Zhang graduated from Beijing Geology College, majoring in Petroleum in 1966.
Mr Gupta is the President and Chief Operating Officer, Greka Drilling India in 2017. Mr. Gupta joined Greka Drilling India as Executive VP & CFO on 1st October 2014. Prior to joining Greka, Pradeep worked at General Electric for 18 years and held various positions including CFO, GE Oil and Gas India (2009-14), CFO at GE Energy, India (2006-08), Regional CFO at GE Optimization Controls, Africa, India & Middle East (2003-05), CFO of GE Bently Nevada, Delhi (1997- 2002). He was also on the board of directors of GE India. Mr Gupta has over 21 years of post-qualification experience in the field of Finance in multiple business segments including stints in the Energy, Textile and Oil & Gas sectors. Prior to GE, Pradeep served as Finance Manager at Birla VXL Ltd (1995-96) and Alstom India (1993-94). Mr Gupta holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Delhi, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (FCA). He is Green Belt certified in Six Sigma.
Rene Pedersen has been drilling Greka wells since 2007 through the Mitchell Drilling Joint Venture. With 21 years of experience in Coal Bed Methane, oil and gas and mineral exploration, drilling and engineering in Australia, China and India, he has accumulated substantial experience in surface to in-seam CBM drilling.
From 2007 to 2010, Mr. Pedersen worked for the Greka Mitchell Drilling Company as field operational manager. Prior to this he worked in Mitchell Drilling Company in Australia as a Toolpusher from 2001 to 2007 and between 1993 and 2001 as a Maintenance Planner in Carlton United Breweries, Queensland Australia. He started his drilling career in mineral exploration with Rockdril Contractors in Australia from 1985 to 1991.
Pederson received his undergraduate degree from Central Queensland University and gained a trade certificate as a Fitter and Machinist under J.C. Huttons Pty Ltd.
Mr. Li assumes the position of Director of Operations of Greka Drilling China in 2017. He joined Greka in 2009 and has over 14 years of experiences in engineering and geology In both conventional and unconventional oil & gas. Mr. Li has extensive experiences and knowledge in CBM exploration and development, sub-surface mapping, well designing & drilling of CBM wells under complex geological structures, CBM field development planning and operations management. Prior to joining Greka, Mr. Li worked at SINOPEC as a Senior Geologist. Since 2009, he has held various positions at Greka E&P unit as CBM Geologist.
Mr. Li holds a degree of M.S. Petroleum Engineering from China University of Petroleum.
